Just a quick post today!
A few months ago I gave in and made a little facebook page for this blog, and as time goes on I've been posting all the little bits of things that don't seem to go anywhere else there! So far it's cell-phone quality outfit shots, occasionally things I see out in the world that I like, links to new posts, and the occasional stealthily-taken video of something inane, like digging through dresses.
So, if you'd like a gander at any of the above, take a look on over here, and give it a thumbs up as well if you're so inclined!
You'll notice, from a few posts on there, that I went ahead and lopped my hair off!

Alright, not off, but it's considerably shorter and features the (among a little niche of bloggers) ubiquitous blunt bangs! I've wanted them for ages, always longingly looking at catalogs and editorials and tumblrs and blogs where the girls and women in them had that nice, thick fringe. But I had bangs several years ago and was convinced that they were not something that I could pull off, that went along with my face at all.
But I had that itch, and knew I wasn't going to forget them until I had them on my head. They're taking some getting used to--they keep touching me--but it's a nice change for now. I can't say that I'm a lifetime convert, but an occasional dabbler certainly seems an apt title.

They look cute on you! They do get annoying though. I had a fringe (bangs) for years and they were a lot of work. :)

Love the bangs - they make you look so retro. ck :) x
ReplyDeleteYou look lovely :)
ReplyDeleteI would like to have a fringe again- however my boyfriend absolutely hates them and so I am not allowed. I had one when I was a kid,and although I really hated it when I was a teenager, I do keep wondering what it would look like again. But unfortunately it shall not be :( Yours look lovely though :)
ReplyDelete"they keep touching me"
ReplyDeletehaha!! I laughed so hard at that!!! They look great : )
It really suits you! My hairdresser gave me a good tip: when your fringe starts looking a bit less neat, trim it with an electric razor. Just turn the razor on, and holding it vertically, press the blade part to where you want your fringe to end. It gives it a neat almost-straight-but-not-too-straight look. The only downside is that you get loads of tiny little hairs all over your face, so don't do it before you go out.
ReplyDeleteI think bangs really suit you!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI totally approve of the new hair cut, really lovely looking.

ReplyDeleteI feel the same way about bangs. I grew them out in the 6th grade and never looked back, but I saw so many girls with cute bangs that I decided to take the plunge this last year.
ReplyDeleteThe bangs touching my forehead bothered me immensely at first, but you get used to it!
