It seems like there are a lot of them. I have tons of them in my flickr favorites! Not that there is anything wrong with boys and cats, but you know--I'm a girl, so I feel more of an affection there. It's a thing though, girls and cats. There is something there.

Kittens kittens everywhere
Kittens chewing on my hair
Kittens climbing up my jeans
Kittens hanging from the screens
There's a kitten on each shoulder
Will they do this when they're older?
Kittens fighting on the chairs
Kittens tumbling down the stairs
There's a kitten on my head
There's a kitten in the bread!
There's a kitten in my shoe
I don't believe we just have two!

You know, I never used to be much of a cat person, but lately I've just become obsessed with them! :D I've got so many kitty pictures saved on my computer now, it's sort of ridiculous! :) I'm destined to be a cat lady, I suppose!

ReplyDeleteI think it is the quiet femininity that the combination brings to mind. Cats are so aloof and you have to work so hard for their affections. I'm more of a dog girl, myself.
ReplyDeleteI'll bet if I wasn't allergic to cats I would have been reminded with every line of that poem because I would of had a cat of my own. But even so I very much enjoyed this post. Girls and cats just sounds magical together. What charming pictures! I really like the one where the cat and girl are staring at eachother across the bed, it's quite comical. :]

but you're right, there is something with women and cats. you've never heard of an old crazy cat man, have you?

ReplyDeleteeverybody seems to suddenly be obsessed with cats at the moment, i think it is really cute. but i have two dogs and i could never convert to being a cat person!
